An Evening with Solar Punk Farms and Russian River Books & Letters

To celebrate Earth Day 2024, we're partnering with our friends at Solar Punk Farms to create "The Solar Punk Library", a new book section here at Books and Letters!

Solarpunk is a storytelling genre that poses the question “What does an Ecological Civilization look like, and how do we get there”. Where Steampunk and Cyberpunk imagine nature-less dystopias, Solarpunk imagines a future where nature and technology work together to create beautiful, sustainable and equitable societies and ecosystems.

We filled this library with fiction and non-fiction books that bring the Solarpunk ethos to life. This movement is new but growing fast as it captures imaginations and inspires climate action all across the world. Read these and be the coolest of your friends

All the books here have been selected by the founders of Solar Punk Farms, a queer-run regeneration project here in Guerneville (right down the road from this bookstore!)
